The play Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shakespeare in 1594 and is one of Shakespeare's most famous plays. In Romeo and Juliet, the two met at a Capulet party and it was love at first sight. Once they found out that they were from different families, they were absolutely torn that they couldn't be together because their families were in conflict.
