Topic > Personal story of life as a Christian and educational aspiration to be a nurse

A child raised by a Buddhist mother and a Christian father may cause confusion in him or her about what is real, what is right and what is wrong. Growing up, there may not be any religion imposed on the child. If parents with conflicting opinions try to raise the child according to their own beliefs, the family may fall apart. This may seem like an unhealthy atmosphere for the developing child, and it may or may not be. The only thing that kept the family from falling apart was the similarities between the different religions. I know this is true because I was that child. Over the years I have learned that people have minor differences but, overall, have more important similarities. As I grew older, I was drawn to the gospel. I discovered my Baptist beliefs and how similar it was to my father's Catholic background. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? It wasn't quite like the education I get from my public schools. He told me his story of how he met Jesus Christ. His story moved me in a way I had never felt. I feel in love with him and his beliefs. That evening I went home to pray and hope that this wonderful Christ that Ben spoke of was there with me. The next morning, I woke up a saved Christian. I started attending Ben's Baptist Church every Wednesday and Sunday. I learned so much about Baptist traditions and the gospel. I started changing my lifestyle to suit my tastes. I started taking a Christian theology course to better understand my beliefs. Not only did I strengthen my faith through this course, but I also learned about other Christian religions and their traditions. Every religion has its differences from mine, but everyone has come to an agreement on the most important point. There is one God, one Jesus Christ, and one Holy Spirit. I believe that originally people were made good. God is three in one. He is God, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God is greater than his creation; therefore, no human being can grasp or understand it because it is far above and beyond our intelligence. The people are now in a fallen state. We have sinned through our choices, right from the beginning with Adam and Eve. Other Christian religions such as Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran and Methodist mostly share the same meaning in their view of God and creation. Although we have sinned, the predestined are saved by Jesus Christ through his sacrifice. We are guaranteed eternal salvation through the grace of God. Once an individual is truly saved, his or her name will be written in the book of life and will be sealed for all eternity. Roman Catholics, Lutherans and Methodists mostly share the same meaning. Not everyone believes in predestination but most believe in eternal salvation. Repenting is what we do when we realize we have sinned. God likes us to repent and this shows our obedience to our Lord. God made us in His image. Therefore, we not only look like him, but we also have free will. We have the choice to live a life that pleases Him or a life that opposes Him. God's hatred of sin does not hinder His love for His creation. He hates sin separately from the person. All our sins were paid for by Christ our Savior. No matter how many times we have sinned before, Christ, the son of God, has covered them all for us..
