There should be emotional supports and protections. The couple should communicate with each other and take care of each other. It is not a comparison of who is inferior or superior, as both people should take responsibility. More importantly, if a relationship becomes traumatizing or harmful, the victim party should consider leaving immediately to avoid becoming trapped in a vicious cycle both physically and psychologically, just as Ana did in the film; her courage and instincts are what I should learn from her. Many women remain trapped in their relationships, even under the incredible abuse of domestic violence and psychological torment, they often become silent and fail to recognize their abusive environment and continue to make excuses just to get through the day; this is something I should not tolerate, as no loving relationship would thrive when one party took complete control over the other. If I meet the wrong person or am forced to do something, I should refuse and leave immediately. This film makes you think a lot about sexuality, sexual orientation and gender issues and influences the audience in many different ways
