Before you can say Jack Robinson, a semester had passed. This semester, I thought everyone would have less or more feelings about the WRA-110 class. To be honest, this lesson is not as easy as I expected. However, life is a constant challenge, isn't it? Today, from my experience this semester. I would like to describe how the WRA-110 course could help me improve my writing, reading, and research skills at Michigan State University. WRA, as the name suggests, stands for American Writing, Rhetoric, and Cultures. Writing would be the most important skill that people need to learn, it is also a skill that will benefit people throughout the year. During this semester, I think my development in writing can be summed up by one sentence from the syllabus: “An understanding of writing as an epistemic and recursive process and effectively applying a variety of knowledge creation strategies in writing. For example, in my second task, I wanted to describe a culture called “nerds and geeks”. In my academic career I have never heard this word. To understand this kind culture, I made a connection between it and a famous TV show “Big Bang Theory”. writing strategies, before each instance, I will clarify the my talking point, such as "Maybe they use the wrong way to express it, but it simply reflects something in their character that attracts people to them." I use examples from the Big Bang theory to introduce one of the positive aspects of this culture I would like to combine the plot and this type of culture together to make the audience understand what I am saying. As said in the program: “Writing is epistemic and recursive progress.” When I tried to express something to my audience, I learned that... middle of paper... I know how to use them in my own way. Actually, when I edited my video, I also tested my ability to organize things. Making all the information I would like to use is very simple for the director or for i-movie, but how to make it logical and organized is very difficult. I have to be on the audience's side to scan my film and make it perfect. This semester I have learned a lot from writing, reading, and research. Compared to the last WRA course, I can clearly feel my progress in writing and critical thinking skills. The WRA-110 course would be one of the most important stepping stones for my academic career. I have to thank Professor McArdle, he encouraged and helped me a lot during the writing lessons. Besides that, I will be indebted to my classmates who will give me advice and suggestions to edit my article. This semester will be the most unforgettable memory.
