It is important for an individual because if we didn't have knowledge we wouldn't have the societies we have today. If we didn't have the knowledge we have, we would probably be years behind and wouldn't have the electronics or machines we have today. If a person does not have an education in today's society, he will probably not be able to get a job. Without work, a person's family begins to struggle and is unable to maintain a stable living situation. On the other hand, the more education you have, the more money you will earn. A doctor attends college for about 8-10 years but when he starts earning money his check will be more than that of a McDonald's employee. This is because their level of education is higher than that of the employee and their work is truly more meaningful. So a person with higher education, who earns a large amount of money, would be able to have a good family environment and his family would be stable. They would not have to struggle to provide food and shelter. Most of the time if you have an education you will live better. Education is important to a community because it makes life easier and helps communities stay updated on events happening around the world. Having the Internet and cable connection allows us to not have to wait days for the mail and to know everything that happens when it happens. All the appliances we have in our homes are a product of education because people had to make them and other people had to learn to make them. Even the cars we drive are a product of education. All the objects that help us do the things we do are products of education. As a country, education means knowing all the things that happen in our country and
