WHY DO BUSINESSES NEED ETHICAL HACKERS?Rapid technological change has brought with it a host of problems. Black hats target almost everyone, but we will primarily focus on attacks that occur in organizations. Hackers are taking advantage of the fact that more and more organizations are turning to the Internet to interact with their customers, which is why the amount of critical data moving around systems is growing faster. The more information is exchanged via technology, the more companies run the risk of falling victim to such attacks. Black hat hackers, also known as crackers, are people who typically conduct planned attacks designed to steal critical information and destroy data. They gain unauthorized access to systems with intention to cause malicious damage. Organizations rarely notice a security breach, which shows how smart hackers really are. Why do companies continue to fall victim to such attacks? Most businesses rely on defense tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, DPI firewalls, etc. as a defense that protects their confidential procedures...... medium of paper ...... when employing ethical hackers, they must ensure that the process is conducted under the terms of a contractual agreement that establishes the scope, boundaries, limitations and other specifics of the assignment.• Upon expiry of the contract all information relating to the ethical hacker's work must be destroyed to prevent the hacker from gaining unauthorized access in the future.• Organizations must regularly monitor the activities of ethical hackers , they need to be part of the team and not lag behind what's happening in their business. Organizations need to start reconsidering the deployment of ethical hackers in their business environments.
