They tried to keep telling me directions, even as I walked away. I expected people who know me to walk with me as I left, which they did. I thought strangers would just stop talking. The only sanction I received was the shocked/disgusted face of my boss's son. I just felt a little rude. The one Walmart employee who followed me down the aisle made me feel worse because she looked at me like I should go. I have never been to another country and have not experienced many other cultures. I imagine the norms I violated are the same in most cultures. I feel like the norms I violated were simple and not weird or strange. It makes sense that you would let someone finish talking before walking
