They stayed in touch after graduation and ended up dropping out of college and getting a job working for assemblies in Silicon Valley. Wozniak had been designing computers for a time when he built the Apple 1 in 1976. Steven Jobs, who had a vision of the future, urged him and Wozniak to try to commercialize the machine, and on April 1, 1976, Apple Computer was founded. unbegotten (Apple History). Apple Inc.
