In the quest for knowledge and truth, there are times when purported experts provide inconsistent and unhelpful, if not ignorant, opinions and guidance about their purported field of expertise. In most of these cases, the alleged expert is not really an expert. An expert is someone who is highly knowledgeable and skilled in a particular field, through an unusually large amount of experience, training, and study, to the point that they are sought after for opinions, guidance, and wisdom about that particular field from people who are not highly knowledgeable and skilled in the specific sector. An identical definition to the above for 'expert' is a master in a particular field. The opinions of true experts in their particular field of expertise are very important and should be highly valued in the pursuit of knowledge. People are able to seek guidance and educated opinions from experts due to their vast and long experience in their field. People, in contrast, do not normally seek the opinions of non-experts because they lack sufficient knowledge, experience, and wisdom to be able to provide educated and worthwhile opinions on the purported field of interest. Experts, however, have sufficient knowledge and experience to provide valid advice and insights in the search for knowledge and greater understanding in particular fields of interest. Both Payton Manning and Tom Brady are experienced quarterbacks. Peyton Manning's anticipation and accuracy are virtually unmatched because he throws the ball before the defenders are ready and puts it where only his guy can catch it” (Tucker 3). Tom Brady was an incredible leader who at times put up amazing numbers while seemingly wanting his team to win multiple Super Bowl titles... middle of paper... training and experiences needed to be extremely knowledgeable, knowledgeable and skilled in their specific fields of interest to the point of being sought after for guidance, wisdom and further pursuit of knowledge.
