Curiosity and my love for math and science got me interested in engineering. I want to explore the deep and intricate things in nature; I want to see more of math and science. And where if not in engineering could I find this inextricable link between mathematics and science? In high school I tried to explain almost everything I could with physics, I tried to obtain chlorine by electrolysis of sodium chloride, I built an electromagnet from a nail and did other experiments; although I haven't always been successful (I haven't been able to get chlorine). But a meeting at NILE University, Nigeria, brought me closer to engineering. “Okay, I'll try this again,” I thought to myself. I was getting tired. Everything - the bread bin, resistors, LEDs, capacitors, transistors, wires and DC source - seemed to work fine and I had followed all the instructions, but I couldn't figure out why my "flip" flop" on circuit didn't work. Why weren't the LEDs flashing? While searching for a solution to the problem, I discovered that I had connected the power supply and the AC electrolytic...
