Throughout the centuries, history sees women doing everything they can to fit into the current cookie cutter mold of popular and accepted society. From the whalebone corsets of the late 1800s to the psychedelic hippie style of the '60s and '70s, one of the major trends that has followed these fashions throughout the centuries is weight. For about fifty years, since the dawn of models like Twiggy and Verushka von Lehndorff, the world has moved away from "plus size" and opened its arms only to the skinny phenomenon. But what did society think of plus size fashion? in an era where subtle was not accepted?
