I could have learned English during the first two years of high school, but I decided not to talk to anyone. My friend started high school at the same time, while he decided to talk to people with his little English even if they made fun of him on the first day of high school, and the result was a success. After 2 years I heard him speaking to people in English at a very fast and steady pace. After seeing him talk to people at a very fast pace I realized that I had made the biggest mistake of my life, I should have tried to talk to people with my little English to overcome my fear of learning a new tongue. This lesson applies to the rest of my life because now I am never afraid to learn or try new things because this lesson taught me that if we want to be better at something we must try to learn
