Some say they are born with the ability to see the dead and commune with spirits and souls, these people are known as mediums. Voodoo is a religion that communicates with spirits. Voodoo formulated from Africa, the literal meaning of voodoo is spirit (practice of voodoo). Voodoo involves divination and possession. In voodoo, mediums are called sorcerers or priests and connect with spirits using magic and rituals. Sorcerers and perseverants connect with spirits to obtain guidance for the future and various magical powers. The magic in voodoo could be good or dark. Many people go to a voodoo preistes and ask for help such as healing an illness or even ask for help with fertility. Dark magic in voodoo is mainly used for some kind of revenge. In Voodoo people show their respect towards the spirits through rituals.
