IntroductionRonald Nash's book Is Jesus the only savior? tries to explain or shed light on this question that has perplexed many in previous generations as well as ours. The resounding answer that emerges from his arguments is “yes”, Jesus is the only savior of humanity. It begins by considering the three schools of thought related to this controversial issue. These are Pluralism, Inclusivism and Exclusivism. The first six chapters of the book deal with pluralism, which can be said to be the belief that all the major religions of the world are equal and that there is no one religion that is superior to another. Pluralism also emphasizes that all of these religions lead to salvation and to God. In the last five chapters of the book, Nash addresses inclusivism, which involves the belief that one religion is fundamental but salvation is possible through other religions. However, throughout the book, Nash makes a strong argument for exclusivism, or the belief that salvation can only be found through a religion. It states that one religion is superior to others. The religion that exclusivists rely on most is Christianity, and they base their arguments on Christ's statement that "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life" in John 14:6. In the second half or last five chapters of the book, Nash begins by identifying the many false claims characteristic of inclusivism. Strengths Nash did not advocate for inclusivism but was still able to highlight the following strengths in the argument for inclusivism. Even with these forces I maintained his position in favor of exclusivism.1) The Saints of the Old TestamentThe moment in the Bible, in which God was seen to speak most to people, was in the old test... in the middle of the paper. .. ....as caused by the divine and perfect plan of God perceiving the "end from the beginning" and doing "all things according to the counsel of His will." Christian exclusivism does not need to be confirmed to be perfectly rational, but only more rational than any other, and when compared with inclusivism, Christian exclusivism provides the strongest argument. The pattern of religion was given in the Bible. We see from the Bible that God is sovereign and no one can question it. We may not understand many things, but we need to follow His way of doing things, not just follow emotions like the inclusivists. The Bible says that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. In my opinion, if this is what he says, then it is the truth, and he should embrace that truth as it is. Works Cited Nash, Ronald. Is Jesus the only savior? (Michigan: Zondervan, July 24, 1994)
