Topic > America kills itself with its foreign policy

Our country is still deeply suffering from an economic recession and currently has extremely unstable relations with foreign countries. In this era, the United States (US) is the only superpower left, so you would think that America would improve its economy and foreign relations. The truth is that our country suffers from both domestic and foreign problems that remain unresolved. There are budget cuts in almost every sector or our government and the government are even considering tax increases. These internal problems still do not compare to the hatred that many foreigners have for our government. The cause of all these problems is due to the constant intervention of the United States in foreign affairs that do not concern our country in any way, neither in the present nor in the future. To solve these problems, the United States should interfere less in other countries' affairs. In the past and today, foreign affairs have dragged the United States into unnecessary wars that have depleted our resources and damaged our economy. Our aggressive management of foreign affairs between other countries has involved our nation in wars that had nothing to do with us. The results of our conduct are the loss of many of our resources and our young lives. One example is the Vietnam War, which began as a political goal for North Vietnam to merge with South Vietnam again. This war had no negative or powerful impact on America, yet our government joined the war. The Vietnam War ended with the defeat of South Vietnam and America. From this war alone, the United States suffered American losses of $58,220, not including the disabled, and used approximately $664 billion, $8 trillion today. In addition to the money spent and lives lost in proxy wars and other foreign affairs, during… middle of paper… so we can set an example to other countries that the right thing is to work to benefit all our citizens , do not abuse and ignore their requests, due to a government's ambitions or political beliefs. Over the years of US history, we "surveil" other countries and influence their policies only for our benefit. Our government bullies other countries in the name of our ideals and completely ignores our losses in resources and lives. Our lack of consideration has eroded foreign relations and caused bigger problems like terrorism in the United States. The government not only neglects other countries, but it also neglects American citizens. The United States government must immediately stop policing other countries through our political power and influence. As for us, as US citizens, we must do our best to change the ways of our nation for the better of all people living on Earth..
