The Industrial Revolution between 1760 and 1820 in Britain was a flourishing time. The revolution brought enormous benefits and changes in socioeconomic and cultural conditions. Firstly, it has boosted socio-economic development and also created a large amount of employment opportunities. Secondly, his extraordinary change made communications and transportation more efficient. Finally, this revolution increased agricultural production and fewer workers were needed in agricultural work. Britain's industrial revolution fostered growth in agriculture, communications, transportation and the socioeconomic sector. Initially, economic changes were brought about by new machines and new methods introduced and invented. Machines have replaced humans in the production method and people have moved their workplace from home to factory (Changes…). Because employment was stable, textile production increased and was made in better qualities, so these could be sold at higher prices. Second, living standards rose as more productions were made. During 1819 and 1851, wages increased rapidly for all groups of workers, including factory workers and clerks. This was double the wages from 1781 to 1819, and it was astonishing how wages had doubled in just thirty years. Therefore, the revolution helped create a higher standard of living and assisted capitalism further ahead. Communications and transportation also improved during this period. Three major types of transportation developed during the Industrial Revolution were waterways, roads, and railways. The cheapest way to transport iron and coal is by waterways. Businessmen and traders used large ships to transport goods, and the...... medium of paper......nintroduced. Tools in agriculture play an important role, nothing could be done without tools. Better tools can be more efficient, such as the iron plow; it is more resistant than the wooden one and the use is much longer. Also an "Englishman named Jethro Tull, who introduced an improved seed drill in 1701." (Agriculture) The seeder could sow the seeds in a straight line, so the space between these seeds will most likely be equal and the plants could grow better. All in all, the industrial revolution certainly brought about positive changes and brought benefits. It didn't matter whether it was agriculture or economics, the benefits that came from it were all becoming effective. Our modern lifestyle is also influenced by revolution, for example: railways and Morse code. With such rapid development, it is difficult for us to imagine what the world will be like in 50 years.
