Topic > The contributions of a team to an organization

The essay will examine the main contributions that teams can make to a successful organization. Furthermore, the essay will talk about the necessary conditions in the organization for employees to work effectively in teams. The reason for forming a team is that it allows the individual to put in the same amount of effort and contribute to the well-being of the organization. This reduces the workload and divides the work equally among members. As a result, this allows people to perfect the work that is specified to them. The balance in the team due to the attitudes and skills of the individuals increases the possibility of having an effective team. (Caracciolo, 1999:2) There are many types of teams that contribute differently to organizational success. The formal team will contribute by ensuring they carry out their task in a professional manner on a daily basis. A key aspect of the formal team is that they have certain rules and regulations to follow. An example would be the need to dress elegantly and communicate in a formal language with customers and colleagues. (Richard ET all, 2009) This is part of the work that team members have to do, but it does not mean that doing their daily duty will make the team effective. It is essential that team members are willing to work hard and give their best effort to whatever project or task they are given. The team must work together and ensure that they have a friendly relationship with the members and supervisors. This allows the organization to be more effective and therefore increase productivity.
