Topic > The Importance of Evil in the Night by Ellie Wiesel

Like the 2007 New York Giants, barely surviving with a glimmer of hope, battered and battered survivors of the final battle, AKA Super Bowl XLII, good had won thanks to a David Tyree-like scenario. Barely finding the camp and then somehow dominating a battle. “The resistance movement decided at that point to act. Armed men appeared from everywhere. Bursts of gunshots. Exploding grenades. We, the children, remained lying on the floor of the block." (Night 115). This quote tells us that, as in Super Bowl XLII, good had finally triumphed over the reigning champions of evil and had reacted with a force equal to that of a helmet. At the end of the Night, "the first American tank stood at the gates of Buchenwald." (Night 115), Good had sent in one last feeble attempt with some men and a tank, and had actually won. Shocking Hitler, or Bill Belichick in metaphorical terms, and ending his undefeated season, AKA Holocaust for Adolf Hitler, good sent in its last resort, it's the last men, and barely made it. It was a dogfight, after casualties and casualties against the forces of evil, good pulled out something akin to the infamous Casco Catch and liberated the Jews after years, or 4 quarters, of hard fighting. Thus, humanity was no longer threatened thanks to the forces of good, and evil caused its undefeated season to end abruptly in a crushing manner.
