In the last year our Game-to-Date (GTD) score has reached eighty-five. Belle Montaseur's Inc. was formed by Michael P. Blattner as an entity in September 2013. In year 11, our net revenues were $253,670,000. In year 18, our net revenues were $273,077,000. We had a couple of bad years where we didn't allow a 40% increase on prices, which was one of our biggest drawbacks (this led to negative numbers for those years). We didn't get a Gold Star Award like Dashing Shoes did every year. The company experienced steady growth in years eleven, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen and eighteen. The game is about selling shoes. Sell in the Internet, wholesale and retail sector with sub-levels in the private label sector. Compete against your classmates to be the best supplier in the industry and keep your numbers at a high level. You are judged on several factors that change from year to year. You work from ages eleven to eighteen. It's a very competitive industry and you have to keep up with the competition. Scores range from fifty for struggling teams to eighty or more for excelling teams. I quickly learned that you must allow at least a forty percent markup from wholesale to retail prices. To do well it is not possible to spend too much money in non-essential areas (more than seventy percent of funds allocated to marketing, for example, would be a huge mistake). Sell in four geographic areas “which are North America, Europe Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America” (BSG-Online). You have to take into account the exchange rate… middle of the paper… improvement helps you understand if you are struggling in certain geographies and why/how to fix it, if possible. An ongoing threat is the tough competition from other companies that continuously improve their strategy and modify/adapt it if necessary. We can go into the simulation and see what other companies' prices are and whether they are receiving offers. An example would be to see how much they spend on advertising each year. Extreme Excellence has dominated the industry for almost every year and has been among the top hundred teams in the world for at least one year. I did better than I expected from the start of the simulation. At first I thought I would only get half of the twenty-five percentage points for poor performance in the bsg-online simulation.
