Topic > The weight of the world on your shoulders…for 3 sets

When you enter the gym; beyond the reception, beyond the treadmills, away from the swimming pools and basketball courts we see the heart and soul of the gym. The loud sounds of falling dumbbells, throbbing screams and powerful grunts define this area. This is where the destiny of every avid weightlifter is formed. There are only two paths to take on the journey, and the roads they lead to couldn't be more different. One path leads to a physique defined beyond measure, where every muscle is visible together with the segments within it. This is the fitness model look, made of lean muscles. The other path leads to a massive, muscular physique. Here the person is monstrous in proportion, as the emphasis is on size rather than definition. This is the bodybuilder look, made of muscle mass. The similarities and differences of these two “iron gods” can be seen through their workouts, diets and results. To reach these peaks in the human physique, every person must frequent the gym often. There is no 5 minute ab exercise, no 15 minute run a day, no 3 month plan for that. These two body types spend an average of 5-6 days in the gym, sometimes even twice a day. There is no easy way out. These two are similar in that they have to dedicate their lives to it. It takes years, not months. The dedication these two share is indescribable. Although they share the same heart and passion for their goal, their routines are completely different. The lean, muscular body (fitness model) will lift with lighter weights and higher repetitions. He's chasing the burn, lifting himself until his body can do nothing else. This is how muscles grow while the skin around them tightens. They become visible with veins coming out of the blood supply. His muscles... in the center of the card... the capabilities of the human body, but both in different ways. One with muscles as defined and sharp to the eye as glass is to the finger. The other is a huge monster that will tower over everything and everyone except the door through which it cannot pass. They both share a dedication to coming to the gym every day, even though they lift differently, they pour sweat, blood and tears into each set. They follow a strict diet that forces you to eat everything you can or forces you to say no to tastier foods. As for the results, both have their advantages and disadvantages, but one thing is for sure; they put genetics aside and pushed human capabilities to the max. The appearance of the fitness model covered in lean muscles and the bodybuilder's body bulging with muscle mass are worlds apart at first glance, but deep down they couldn't be more similar.
