Peplau's theory is an "interaction" theory, which focuses on the relationship that nurses form with their clients and how, through building that relationship, the customer is served better (Petiprin, 2015) . Peplau's theory sees the nurse in many different roles: stranger, resource person, teacher and consultant (Petiprin, 2015).
