Events such as the Sandy Hook shooting and the Colorado theater shooting have led many government officials to support gun control laws. However, many government officials still believe in the 2nd Amendment, which states that "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." Being part of the Constitution, many people believe it. However, I don't think this is right. The government should not control gun rights to the extreme, but it should not give us too much freedom. Too much freedom is what hurts people. They need to know who these weapons will go to. It's a very difficult thing to do, but they have to keep track of who is next to them and by whom
