Question three: Socrates is not aware of his ignorance; do I see any social and political implications of this today? To me, this quote from Socrates says that he, and he alone, is aware of how little he knows, despite being seen as having superior wisdom. This applies to each of us, scholars and ordinary people. Although we know there is more to Socrates' wisdom than he wants to admit according to Plato's writings. What was also said by Plato is that Socrates claimed that he never initiated any arguments, but that they always came from the person he was talking to, even though he knew he had a slight advantage in having the ability to remember similar arguments about subject. from the wisdom of another and customize it to fit their style. I understand that Socrates' has been seen by some as an intellect, whose questions bring the thoughts of others into perspective and out of the darkness. But his ability to clarify and debate, a skill at which he truly excelled; to him, it wasn't a form of true wisdom, as far as he was concerned. He believes that true wisdom is accurate knowledge of ethical topics and how to live one's life. So when Socrates claims to be ignorant, I believe he means ignorance of the pillars of morality and his goal was to try to correct this deficiency through his teachings. Unfortunately, today I see social and political implications. Especially since the election of President Barack Obama, the political and social oppression imposed on this country is evident from every angle. This oppression has always been woven into the fabric of our country's history and the history of humanity, but today in America it has become a new and frightening... middle of paper... blame my ignorance, "the world could be a much better place today. Question seven: What does the last word in Plato's account of the apology have to do with the defense of Socrates was the last word in the Apology and I have come to the conclusion that the defense of Socrates was based on his understanding and opinions of the religion and worship of those times. The reality was that he had no defenses. He knew he was not an Atheis, regardless of what the accusation said, he just had a more intellectual theory about it God, the gods and goddesses that the Greek leadership could not understand. So I believe he ended with the word Theo, or God because he would end up dying hoping to see the truth in the afterlife.
