The main learning outcomes of this module were understanding the purpose of the work role of a Learning Mentor and focusing on inclusion in their practice, largely policy-based and on personal responsibility. The first assignment required the group to work together to produce an interview type scenario for someone applying to become a learning mentor, this meant everyone had to work together as an equal part of the team with the aim of produce high-quality work. This however was more difficult than it first appeared, with limited contact and team members arriving at meetings late, this may be due to the fact that no individual was assigned a specific role except for the final interview, this meant that there was no "gate" -keeping' meaning that no one made sure that everyone participated equally, meaning that many people promised to produce information and did not deliver it, this among other things includes me (Jaques, 2008 ). Due to the difficulty in contact, organizing time to meet and produce our work became a difficulty, so when we finally started meeting regularly there was a strong sense of urgency due to the limited face-to-face time we had, influencing consequently our work, if we had started meeting earlier perhaps we would have found the research and production of results easier and less stressful. Another problem with the contacts was the online forum that was created to showcase our work, although this helped a little with the storage of information, it threw an unreliable balance on what was happening, the consensus of some on the forum was that it was very easy to be portrayed as not participating enough, regardless of the input on the final product.
