Neither of my grandparents knew how to drive, so every week my grandfather walked a quarter of a mile to the grocery store. While there, he made a conscious effort to remember to buy me candy bars, chewing gum, and oatmeal cream cookies. One of these three objects was always in their home. Once I arrived at their house after school, my grandmother would cook various things for me. From pancakes to biscuits to pork chops. One of my favorite things she made for me were teacake cookies.
