Some of these solutions are quite simple. I believe that with distractions, a healthy foundation, and a willingness to live life as an individual, the social effects of divorce on girls can be overcome. Distractions are generally considered bad but, in certain situations, they can be good. Divorce can put a strain on one's life. However, if you don't think about something, it generally doesn't bother your soul. For example, if a child were to receive an injection and was terrified of the needle, a nurse might try to distract him or her from any pain he or she might be investigating to make life easier for both the nurse and the child. Ultimately the child may never have known the injection had been given, because there was no pain. The same can be done for divorce. Getting involved in extracurricular activities, helping out around the house, or volunteering for the community are effective ways to help distract yourself from being disturbed by everyday life.
