Stewart uses habits and Durkheim uses a method called The Rules of Sociological Method. I think you have to take into consideration that I can learn something when I'm little and then when I get older I don't think that the information I get wouldn't do me any good, but if I don't If I don't learn from my mistakes, I won't learn anything as I get older. At the same time I would think that my beliefs would be correct and everything else is not. As for if I use social facts I can be correct when I'm little but when I get older I wouldn't have to worry about how I would behave. For example my son says everything someone else says and keeps repeating it when he goes to school in his mind he would think what he is saying is right even if he wouldn't do it
