My family understood the importance of becoming citizens in this country and having a say, so we started the application process. Bhojwani puts into words the feelings and obstacles that many immigrants face in a country that continues to discriminate against them. In his latest comments, in fact, he urges immigrants to vote carefully in the 2016 elections, so that the candidate who has made irrational accusations against immigrants is not elected. It is clear that Bhojwani is referring to Donald Trump, the Republican candidate, who in recent months has made derogatory statements against immigrants such as: Mexicans, Muslims, etc. I think he approaches this final statement in a polite and cohesive way by leaving the reader with a thought-provoking statement: “But I fought to be in this country and I continue to do so every day.
