Possible Solutions to Poverty in Egypt Over the past two years, Egypt has experienced huge protests in which millions of Egyptians have rebelled against the authoritarian government that has repressed them for years. For the first time, Egyptian citizens decide to take a stand and fight for their legitimate rights to be able to obtain adequate food, to obtain freedom and equality. Furthermore, this event mainly took place on January 25, 2011; the dictatorial regime that had governed for thirty years has collapsed. We can infer from the event that this revolution happened mainly because of oppression, poverty, social equality, censorship and the goal of democratizing the country (O'Neill). However, I believe that one of the most important factors for the January 25 revolution is the crucial poverty that made ordinary citizens unable to meet their basic needs; so they found a way out of their problems except by rebelling against this totalitarian regime. Poverty has been a pervasive problem in Brazil and Egypt that has affected men, women, and children in a specific social class across the nation. An extraordinary number of things could be done to be able to deduce the crucial poverty rates; As Brazil has defined the priorities to create a better country free from poverty, first, it has fully committed to creating the necessary requirements for the development of the economy with the aim of creating more organizations and more work accessible to citizens of the country. population; Furthermore, this type of work allowed people living in these poor circumstances to profit with the aim of being able to purchase sustenance and other necessities for themselves and their family...... middle of paper..... As a result, poverty rates can be significantly reduced through education (TheWorldBank). Therefore, working on educational programs is essential to be able to reduce the problem of poverty in Egypt. To conclude, poverty has been and continues to be a major problem throughout the world, not just in one country. In my opinion, all the suggestions given in the article to reduce the poverty problem are really useful and real. As in the case of Brazil trying to reduce poverty, as mentioned before; we tried to work on many aspects; for example, strengthen the country's economy to be able to create new job vacancies to improve their living conditions. However, the aspect in which we invested the most as a country was education; therefore, this is the perfect model for Egypt to adopt at this time in order to combat the high poverty rates.
