The BlackLivesMatter movement has exposed hundreds of lawless officers and victims who never received the justice they needed. The same characteristics (color and style) that emulate strong and noble people can backfire. Black people in this country who actively resist dehumanization issue a call to action and a response to anti-Black racism in our society today. (Cullors, 2015) The growth of the movement spread across the country, starting first in the south; the South has always had a history of racism and anti-Black impulses. This movement continues to spread north and west and it is predicted that any officer could be the next to unlawfully kill another black individual. These unethical police officers are no different from the rest of the police force, their uniforms do not have different colors or styles, they do not have different titles, there is no distinction between these two types of officers. African Americans are persuaded to be more cautious and angrier towards police officers; anyone wearing a police uniform can be considered a threat to their life. Innocent police officers have been murdered in retaliation for unjust justice systems that fail to punish them.
