When there's no excitement it's like you're on a carousel. Roller coasters are more fun than carousels, so you have to feel excitement if you don't want to get bored. People threatened to leave the family, but they made it all work. Grandma said that you can't move in a straight line and let everything be fine. You need to have ups and downs to make it all work. If you move in a straight line you will get bored and want to go away and do something exciting. Everyone has made it through the low parts of their life and then gotten to the high parts of their life. If you go down, you will always go up, so you have to think positively even when your life is not going the way you want. Each family in the film managed to overcome the difficult moments in their lives and in the end they all enjoyed the best moments welcoming new lives in all their moments.
