Management activities include team education and support for acceptance and respect of various racial, cultural, social, geographic, economic, and political contexts. Management should encourage and drive an increase in racial and ethnic diversity among healthcare professionals in leadership positions. According to Cohen, et al, (2002) “having medically trained health policymakers who accurately reflect America's diverse culture can, ultimately, have a substantial influence on the future of health policy for all Americans”
