Written as if he were personally telling us a story, the narrative is full of meaning (and somewhat abstract), pertinent to his life as a collector in the 1930s. Although the article differs slightly in content from my collection, its beliefs parallel my own. One of the main themes of the article is Benjamin's sense of wonder, which spans different situations. It speaks to the wonder of another's collection (Benjamin 1), the magic of keeping the past alive, and the thrill that accompanies acquiring additions to the collection. All of these points I find relevant to my music collection. I believe in the same kind of wonder that exists when reviewing another's collection.
