I am a business student and I intend to manage at some point the time when I will be myself or a group, and in a way I can already manage it. I manage my older brother's healthcare providers and his finances. Some of these styles I've used before and didn't know I was using them. The main one I use is the affiliative leader style. We recently had to revamp my brothers' care team. It was an extreme situation and much stress and turmoil ensued. I feel like I've hired some new people who I feel have access to the team and have focused on getting the team to work together effectively. I need team members to feel that they can count on each other and that there is some trust between them. During this transition period I was also Coach Leader. We tried different shifts and delegated different tasks to different people. It's about finding out who is good at what and what their talents/strengths are. Once I feel like a norm has been established and I no longer hear the petty complaints about other caregivers, I will become more of an authoritative leader. My brother has a goal of moving to a new home and before that happens we want to establish a care plan that meets my brother's needs and desires. This means that once the team is established and the roles identified, the change in the work program will not change
