The Internet can have a positive effect on American society as it helps people access many different types of information, but a different type of information can be considered helpful or even destructive to our society : sexual content. In this article I want to discuss how the online world of sexually explicit content has affected society. I want to investigate whether or not Internet sex has increased sexuality in society and whether or not it has encouraged more people to lose sight of the importance and emotionality of sex. I also want to focus on the positive and informative forms of sexual content on the Internet and the positive effects they have on our society. In conclusion, I will discuss what could be done to keep kids away from harmful sexual content that they shouldn't see at a young age and that could harm them in various forms (introduced in this article) later in life. There are many different varieties of sexual content on the Internet and they vary in different forms. Sexual content can be informative or used for entertainment. There are sites that help people understand sexual health and guide them to understand what their sexual organs are intended for or not, there are also dating sites that give people the opportunity to meet people across the country or even in the world. There are sites that promote information on sexual orientation and even help support people who belong to discriminated against gay, lesbian and transgender minorities. There are sites that present pornographic material that can be destructive to society's view of sex or useful in helping people understand their preferences in sexual relationships. The websites... half paper. Most families do not have Internet filters on their home computers, nor can such filters be used on cellular devices, which are ending up in the hands of ever younger children. So why not reconstruct how the Internet is structured? I don't necessarily believe that sexual health information should be off-limits to young people, but I do believe that dating sites and pornographic material should be. The government should go a step further and isolate websites with sexual content that are not suitable for all ages in an internet portal accessible only to people who can provide identification, such as a state-issued ID card . If people need to have ID to buy or rent pornography in stores, why shouldn't they do so when viewing content on the Internet??
