One leader I have always admired and tried to be like is John Franklin Kennedy. JFK is one of the most well-known influential leaders in this world today. He was born on May 29, 1917 and lived as a politician. JFK is best known for his accomplishments during his service as the 35th President of the United States, however, his tenure and lifetime of leadership were cut short when he was assassinated on November 22, 1963. Many Americans consider JFK to be the United States' greatest president Always united for a variety of reasons. It was through his hard work, dedication, charisma, respect and understanding that made him such a great and influential icon. Through his military service, congressional career, and presidential career, JFK was able to motivate and influence people through a time of drastic change and, to some extent, hardship. His achievements and leadership characteristics will forever be looked upon and shaped as long as humanity exists. In this article I will discuss some of his most outstanding achievements which I find justify and praise his leadership career and title. One could argue that JFK's very long list of accomplishments could take days to compile and discuss. I have found JFK's success to be more abundant than anyone else I can think of. It is because of this mass success in such a short period of time that I have decided to narrow my list of JFK's accomplishments to five specific successes. The first accomplishment that I found most important to JFK's career as a leader was his success. to become the first and only Catholic president of the United States Anti-Catholic prejudice was not uncommon at the time and was actually a significant problem during Kennedy's campaign to... middle of paper... fight decisions with the fewest negative consequences. We can see this during the Cuba issue, where JFK accepted a challenge, remained patient, and chose the strategy that would have the absolute least negative impacts on the world. Overall I consider JFK the number one leader and hero. the world has ever known. He inspired me not only with his words but also with his actions. When JFK spoke to people he was able to make them feel great and empowered. He was an artist. The English language was his paintbrush and the United States his canvas. Through the use of leadership traits and techniques, JFK changed the world for the better. If it were not for his perfect balance of intelligence, confidence, charisma, determination, sociability and integrity, we would still not respect JFK as a leader and his achievements to this day.
