Throughout history there have been many landmark court cases that have forever altered cities, states, and even some cases that have altered the history of countries. Among these cases that changed the history of countries is Brown v. Board of Education. Like anything fundamental, there are many elements involved in the question, context and impact of the decision. In Marrone Vs. Board of Education there are three main points involved that made it so crucial, the issue it was based on, the historical context, and the impact it had on the South. “Before 1954, most public school systems in the South and some in the North were racially segregated” (Tackach 8). Although the basis of the case was that the school systems were racially segregated and unequal. The roots of this lie both further back in time, and even up to the time the Supreme Court issued its ruling. The historical basis for this was "A case called Plessy Vs. Furguson" (Goldish 40) which stated "That there may be separate" structures. but equal” for both black and brown people....
