John 1:1 shows how Jesus was with God at the beginning of creation, in Genesis 1:2 tells how Jesus hovered over the waters. John 5:24 shows how Jesus has the power of forgiveness, and again in John 8:51. In John 20:28,31 Thomas calls Jesus, my Lord and God, and goes to say, that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God. Here in 1 John 5:20, at the end of the verse, yes reveals how Jesus is not only the Son of God, in addition to being the true God, “…We are in the true One, that is, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. “God has set His name above all others, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, (Philippians 2:9-11). In Mark 2:5 Jesus tells the paralytic that his sins are forgiven, also in Luke 7:48, 23:43 just as Christ was hanging on the cross he forgave the criminal next to him who was asking for it.
