Topic > Be a leader - 1096

Be a leader and not a follower. Too many people always want to follow others. Probably the reason Americans are so far behind is because there is someone leading. We have the work ethic to get things done. But the spirit of laziness has taken control of the people. Every day we want everything to be served to us easily on a silver platter. Other countries are leaders in manufacturing industries. We never tend to finish the things we find difficult because then they become a prosaic task in our schedule. During high school, I, along with my classmates, considered myself a great leader of the school. It was freshman year when I started taking on such bold leadership. Running for class president was a big thing to do in high school. Especially in a public school with over 900 students enrolled. Even today some people ask me the question: “Why?” Their concern was how I could take on the role of people who looked up to me every day as a school leader. So as I lead others there are these reputations that people create. Most reputations are based on the judgments of people who probably once followed the leader. A leader must be confident and aware of the needs of others to be met. A wise professor once said, “We can't please everyone!” Most of the people we lead will want one thing. While the other percentile group will want something else. The leader's duty is to always satisfy the needs of the group with as many as possible. Contribute to the information provided so far; being a leader can have pros and cons. Leadership can often be just like running a business. We must lose some things to gain profit or health growth in character. When you look deep into the word of God, or... the middle of the paper... that plan, the vision of the plan doesn't reach too far. A leader must be able to manage his position in the correct way when completing tasks. For example, a class president must not fail to plan activities for the student who has paid the fee. If a leader has students who pay their dues but give them nothing in return, they are not displaying the correct leadership role. There is a difference when the leader and his or her support team develop activities to carry out throughout the year but none are approved by school officials. As leaders, it's scary to admit that we don't have all the answers to the organization. Works cited "Servant Leadership". Anti-essays.
