This survey shows that same-sex marriage is becoming a more acceptable lifestyle. And why shouldn't it? Gay marriage doesn't hurt anyone; it's just a lifestyle. The meaning of marriage is love; it doesn't matter if they love someone of the same sex. Although some believe that same-sex marriage is a “sin” and that it weakens family values. «It is undeniable that marriage has historically discriminated against same-sex couples» (Geo). However, in reality, it does nothing of the sort; Marriage is a civil legal institution and, when denied, violates our civil rights, which creates separation among Americans. As stated by Andrew Pierce, "We have marriage, it's called civil union and I rejoice that people like me who are different from straight people can do something that they can't do, I'm pleased”
