A class full of kids chasing me around the classroom, giving me the energy and reason to wake up to come here every day. In two years I will finish my degree in Early Childhood Education and take the first step towards becoming a teacher. While I go to school at Polk State College I will continue my work at Precious Children in the Highlands Preschool. The last year I had interned there and gained a multitude of experiences and was offered a part-time job as a substitute. After this experience I discovered that this is the work I want to take part in. I currently finished my 40 hours of online child care classes during my senior year of high school. I hope to inspire young people to be who they want and become brilliant students. I struggled and faced obstacles in school, but that only made me push myself harder. I am determined to do my best. There have always been teachers who encouraged and assisted me in difficult times and made it possible for my dreams to come true. I feel the rush and excitement of going to work like a kid who got his favorite toy for his birthday. I have learned that if I set my dreams high I can achieve almost anything I want. The path to success won't be easy, but I know that through determination, hard work and encouragement I will get where I want to be. I strive to continue to do better. There have been many people along the way that I have learned from to help me in the future and I hope to have many more people who will help inspire me. If it wasn't for the determination I had I would never have gotten to where I am now. As I walk through those college doors I begin the journey into the chapter I've been waiting to begin since I was a child and become what... middle of paper... them in the kindergarten classroom. In 2011, I won the girls doubles at the Polk County Junior 18 and under tournament. In everything I do for volunteering and work, I try to do something that involves children. Finally, I couldn't see myself doing anything other than working with children. My passion spread so much last summer. I am beyond excited to begin my next college journey. Getting the part-time job at the preschool after the summer internship was the highlight of my summer before my senior year. I couldn't have been happier to start my senior year knowing the career I want to have and being beyond words can be described with passion. If you are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do and wants to do in the future, you are looking in the right direction and I will continue to be the passionate, inspiring, loving and caring young woman I am today.
