It can be defined as all the methods, techniques used by a researcher during a study or research operations are termed as research methods. They are planned, have a scientific, systematic and valorised approach. They include theoretical elements, experimental procedure, numerical values and statistical terms. Research methods help us gather information, data and find a solution to a problem. Scientific research methods require experiments, they do not just accept reasoning but demand an adequate explanation based on facts, figures, observations and measurements. On the basis of methods, research methods are divided into three groups where some research methods are those that collect data and are used where the data already available is not sufficient to achieve the solution of a problem. Some methods consist of techniques used to develop a relationship between the collected data and the unknown material. Similarly, other methods are used to evaluate and analyze the accuracy of the results obtained. Research methods are basically the analytical tools of the research process. Research methods refer to those tools used in selecting respected research techniques. Research methods are considered part of research methodology. Research methods are of different types and all are used according to the need and space in a particular research study. The most commonly used research methods are qualitative and quantitative. As the name indicates, the quantitative research method is based on measuring quantity or amount. It is numerical, uses numbers and presents results in the form of tables and graphs, and is used in natural sciences. While the qualitative research method deals with the quality of the case. It is not numerical, it uses words and its purpose is to obtain meanings, sensations and describe the situation studied. So are many other research methods
