Second part of the lesson, we learned about the Triunity of God. The Trinity is not easy to believe, describe and understand. With human thought, we are incapable of fully understanding the triune nature of the infinite God. We cannot understand the power, love and holiness that is present in such a being. However, God wants us to know of His existence and includes many truths about the Trinity in the Scriptures. The Bible does not contain the word Trinity and does not provide a clear definition for it. However, the Trinity is one of the most important and fundamental beliefs in our faith. Now, the question we need to ask ourselves is: “Is the doctrine of the Trinity really biblical?” Although we can never fully understand the Trinity, the Scriptures help us understand it better. It is very important to know the doctrine of the Trinity and its biblical foundation in the Old and New Testaments. Biblical evidence supports the Trinity and teaches us that there is only one God who exists eternally in three Persons. The Bible gives us all the component parts of doctrine. We are made to confess the Trinity as a truly biblical doctrine. In the Old Testament everything is dispersed and it is difficult to explain the exact meaning of the word trinity. However, in the Old Testament, they establish the idea of the trinity. God is the creator of this universe and he created this world by speaking his word and sending his spirit. Bavinck wrote that God's "word" is the objective principle of creation and his "spirit" is the subjective principle. According to him, the world was born from three causes: the word of God, the word hypostatized as wisdom and the spirit of God. In other words, the Old Testament refers to the word of God, his spirit and Wisdom. This... in the center of the paper... a divine being. The Bible teaches us that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three persons. All three persons possessed the qualities and prerogatives of divinity. In conclusion, the doctrine of the Trinity is completely and totally biblical. The Trinity can be summarized in three essential statements. That God is three persons, each person is fully God, and there is only one God. Knowing the biblical doctrine of the Trinity will allow us to know and worship God more fully. Through the doctrine of the Trinity we will be able to understand salvation. Knowing the doctrine of the Trinity and its biblical foundation in the Old and New Testaments is very important because it will shape how we see Jesus and how we imitate God. Knowing the doctrine of the Trinity will help us share the Gospel in the right way.
