Topic > Classical Music and the Era of Symphonies - 714

In the classical era, the symphony was the period in which live concerts were most often performed. The concerts that during the last millennium classical music has been created by some of the musical minds the world has ever seen with Beethoven, Mozart and many others. The wide range of genres that these great composer artists have, including orchestral, instrumental, choral and operatic. The music of the time used the two theories of natural and pleasant variety and the two ideas that can be traced in all elements of musical technique: rhythm, dynamics, tone, melody, structure and form. With the styles of a classical symphony An important form of instrumental music was the symphony, The basic form of the classical symphony was the Italian overture which is called sinfonia, it is an orchestral composition arranged in three major movements that start quickly, then slow down a a little, then goes back fast and then ends the symphony as in the Listen CD 2 series track 23-37 “Haydn “Symphony no .95 in C minor” which starts very fast and then slows down but then ends with a fast part. In the instrumental style of the era in which it took place the sonata developed into a big deal for all composers during the period. Sonata form was the necessary structure when composers had to write instrumental music. The sonata form featured individual sonatas, chamber music, symphonies, and concertos. The musical compositions of this period contained three or four movements, each with its own special characteristics. Classical era symphonic music used its high flexibility in rhythm to create masterpieces such as the 2-track CD listening series 1-5 “Brandenburg Concerto No. ..... half of the card ...... yes. With the Renaissance in the series Listen to CD1 Track 7 “Ave maris stella” a song that was made by a Renaissance artist who made the song he sings “Praise be to God the Father to Christ on high” still maintains the same Renaissance style. In baroque song Frescobaldi's Suite (tracks 20-23 in the Listen CD 1 series) has the same kind of stylized dance form that Renaissance songs have in their music. These three genres had their own way of producing their music, but sometimes their way of producing it turned out to be similar to that of the other genre.
