Imam AlhussainImam Alhussain, or Alhussain ibn Ali ibn Ab Talib, was the third Shiite imam, grandson of the prophet Muhammad, son of Ali ibn Abi Talib and Fatima. The day of his death during a clash with the army of Caliph Yazid celebrated by the Shiites as Ashura mourning. Shia tradition considers Alhussain a martyr and a saint. Many opinions converge on what he knew of the hopelessness of his struggle, but he suffered martyrdom for the sake of Islam, that Yazid's community was not destroyed. Shiites believe that it was a voluntary sacrifice for reasons of necessity. Alhussain is an example of how a hero can fight tyranny and be a good Muslim. Ashura is celebrated in the month of Maharram on the occasion of this event and sacrifice ("What non-Muslims say about Alhussain"). Alhussain (the third Imam of the Immaculate family of the Prophet) was born in 626 (3 of the month of Shaban in the 4th lunar Hijra year) in Medina. His father was Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib and his mother Fatima, the youngest daughter of the Prophet Muhammad. The Messenger of Allah, learning of the birth of a grandson, hurried to the house of Ali and Fatima and asked Asma to bring the child. The home environment was the cleanest in Alhussain, and his assistants differed in high human and moral qualities. Alhussain brought those who were entrusted with the responsibility of the direction and leadership of the world. Among the Arabs of the time there was a tradition of not recognizing female births. And the messenger of God decided to change the backward tradition. He called Alhussain part of his body and did not hide his love for Fatima's sons, Hassan and Alhussain. 25 years have passed since the death of Muhammad and the rise to power of Ali. At that time young Alhussain was famous for his...... middle of paper ......ussein struck a sword on his head, and then everyone rushed at him, and then all his men were killed. Alhussain fell in battle, received dozens of puncture wounds and was cut. The president of the dead was sent to the Caliph in Damascus. The latter publicly regretted the incident. Imam Alhussain was killed during the Battle of Karbala on 10 October of the year 680 (10 of Muharram in the 61st year of the lunar Hegira). According to tradition he was buried in Karbala, near the place of his death. Later the Imam Hussein Temple was built on his grave, which became a place of pilgrimage for Shiites.
