The story of Prometheus' fate is depicted throughout the text. Victor Frankenstein, who after years of study and passion for natural philosophy and chemistry, discovers the secret of life, just as Prometheus discovered the secret of fire (in many cultures, fire is a representation of energy and life), which creates a direct link to the relationships of Prometheus and Victor.
