High school students, I believe they are at an appropriate age to know what is healthy and what is unhealthy. At-home parents tend to limit snacks such as chips, candy bars, sodas and sweets. Children are taught by their parents to eat healthy and try to avoid sweets and sugar as much as possible and choose healthy snacks over dessert. Children watch TV and are well aware and exposed to how things are done. They realize that the ingredients in snacks and pre-cooked meals are chemically processed and not organically fresh. In an interview done with Miss Quinteros she stated: "I prepare my own food because I want to know what happens in my body, I am responsible for my body and I will not harm it with processed foods" (Quinteros). This is a statement that shows that when children reach the appropriate age, they know what is going on in their body. Some students decide to be more informed about what they buy and what they eat than others. This is not something you have to teach these students because they are no longer children, they are considered young people
