Globalization in its various dimensions and principles and their impact on nations and sociological communities around the world has been a popular topic of research and discussion over the past two decades. In this essay I will discuss a number of concepts and perspectives to understand how globalization has such an impact on the world we live in. Although the understanding and theory behind globalization have changed over time with a number of publications and studies published in recent times, the fundamental meaning remains constant – that process by which the people of the world are incorporated into one world society (Pieterse 1990). This term defines the concept of globalization, however globalization is usually interpreted in three main focal points to give understanding to the theory, homogeneity, heterogeneity and hybridity. At the extremes, the globalization of culture can lead either to a trend towards common codes and practices (homogeneity) or to a situation in which many cultures interact to create a kind of imitation or fusion leading to a variety of hybrids (heterogeneity). First, looking at heterogeneity, hybridity is a fundamental theory that is directly related to heterogeneity and the concept that heterogeneity is the mixing of different ethics, ideas, ideas. languages, genders, ages or anything else that can be shaped in context to produce a different figure. Hybridization includes this in its globalization principles. Hybridization is defined as “the ways in which forms separate from existing practices and recombine with new forms in new practices” (Rowe and Schelling 1991). The analysis of cultural hybridity, heterogeneity and modernity makes us understand that globalization is indeed the process of adapting and reshaping society, in a certain sense, through the collaboration of a multidimensional matrix of sociological behaviors and cultures to create the diversity of a combined society..
