Firstly, the patient always expects a correct and accurate diagnosis of his problem, while the professional has the task of identifying the cause of the discomfort. The practitioner must identify the cause of the disease or a possible set of diseases. In order for the doctor to identify the cause of the disease, it is necessary to carry out a series of investigations. It is these series of investigations that are carried out during a medical check-up. Medical examination constitutes the significant part of the doctor's entire medical care of the patient as it correctly establishes the doctor's basis for appropriate action. A medical check-up is a series of investigations and medical tests conducted on a sick or non-sick individual with the aim of discovering any malfunctions in the body. The purpose of this article is to illustrate the importance of regular medical check-up for Rwanda Defense Forces troops with the aim of developing recommendations to ensure continued compliance. The role of medical supervision is clear: prevention is better than cure, as the saying goes. It is always better for a doctor to take care of a patient in the acute phase of the disease; and much better when the discovered disease is not yet declared, than managing a chronic case or worse, taking care of a case that has reached the serious stage.
