It is quite common to find references to motivation in our person and in our daily lives simply because it is perhaps impossible to ignore the role of motivation in human affairs; therefore, its significance as one of the main factors affecting learning in EFL classrooms cannot be overlooked either (Dornyei, 2001). When referring to motivation, what people usually think of is a classroom with a teacher and a group of students, and the classroom is facilitated with different lesson plans, activities, etc. to keep students motivated in learning the language. Motivation in the literature offers quite a few definitions. Brown (2007b) argues that motivation is a set of different choices that people make about their goals and efforts to achieve them. According to Nunan (1999), motivation in relation to SLL is a mixture of different efforts put forth by learners and their willingness to achieve a goal which is actually hidden under a language learning effort facilitated by their positive attitudes while they are engaged in language learning.
